Quiet and sunny Friday in Albert Park, some cycling and reading. The city looks beautiful reflected on the lake.

Week 14: Travel around

All week holidays for both of us, and the car available until Thursday, what a freedom !

Monday is Marta's day = purchase day : Little Saigon market, and Coles. And some live comedy show in a pub in the night.

Sun is back on Wednesday, so early wake up and direction the Yarra valley. This place was strongly damaged by the recent bushfire it's impressive to imagine how big that fire should have been. The parks were we intended to go are closed for 12 month, time for the nature to cure.

In a small village, strongly damaged by the bushfire, we found very old lady at the information point that gave us the address of a park to go and do a picnic (as we were looking for a barbecue to cook our bacon and sausages!)
The road is small and beautiful and the park very quiet. We start cooking the food and a strange bird appears...2 min later, there are 15 birds around the table that try to eat our sandwiches! :)

After this lunch with our bird-friends, we head off direction Melbourne but driving through a great, but bumping, road. Today is the "animal day". On the road we found a cute wombat eating grass! He's not afraid of us but doesn't want to be disturbed.

Week 13:

This week, few holidays for Boris, as his chief was going on holidays.

Time for us to take advantage of our flatmates car and to travel around Melbourne.

On thuersday, we took the Calder freeway and stopped along to various natural parks:
Organ Pipe Nat park, Mt Macedon, Hanging rock, Thentham Falls and Daylesford ...

We enjoyed a sunny (but cold anyway) day, and took some pictures !

Friday night, departure for a weekend in a bloc on the Great Ocean Road with Ellie, a Mr. Anthony niece.

After Ellie driving 2h with rain and crazy drivers on the road, we arrive in the middle of "the bush", near Colac, where we found the famous BLOC :) A really cosy place that their family built by their own! Next day we went to Apollo Bay and do some shopping. After this exhausting morning, the night was very active - scrubs, cranium, jangler, wine, Beyoncé, Maria Carey, crazy pictures... - It was really fun! lovely to meet you all.
Sunday, the best time-organised day, we went for a nice walk to see a waterfall.

Really bad weather but good fun with Aussie people. We have to come back to see the great natural formations that make the place famous, as we just chilled out and party during this weekend.

Although we arrived in Australia almost 2 months ago, today we open the Boris & Marta's Blog !! That's here we'll tell the adventure we're experiencing Downunder.
The first step is : Melbourne (and it'll be a big step !)
